Episode Summary
In this episode, Ricco and Tony discuss a haircut and style that has been famously worn from time to time: The Shag Haircut!
Originally created by the Scottish hairdresser Paul McGregor, this haircut is all things volume and layers. The story says Jane Fonda came into his Greenwich Village salon in the 60s and asked him to do something, anything he wanted on her hair. On that day, the shag haircut was born. With the passing of years, this cut was famously used by celebrities during the 70s, in the 80s it was Glam Rock Bands distinguishing style and it kept transforming during the 1990s. During all this time, the shag kept two main characteristics: the style of the cut and the color. Even now, in the second decade of the 2000s, Miley Cyrus is bringing this haircut back wearing a reverse mullet shag style!
